  1. Bene ciao là Mr. Taglioni, it is a pleasure to finally speak to you. I have read over your blog and learned that you are a great dancer from Italy. That is something that we both have in common, I would like to think of myself as a great dancer and just like you im also Italian. Another similarity is you had two beautiful children and i also have two children, daughters in fact.
Just like we have things in common we also have things not so in common. Although we both are dancers I also had a talent in singing. I was a pretty good singer and my parents wanted me to do that instead. We also went to different dance schools, I attened the La Scala School in Milan for my dancing while you went to the Seedish ballet to teach. Im much younger than you but more years means harder work!
I admire your work and wished i could have worked with you, your ballet work has insipred me

  2. Hello my fellow Italian! It is very nice what you have with the relationship of you and you're children. I like that the choreographing/dancing career is passed down by the family. I also applaud the fact that you trained your children to be professional dancers/choreographers yourself. The section about the teacher, that is so cruel! I'm sorry that happened to your daughter.. Well, best of wishes to you and your children! Ciao.

  3. Dear Mr. Taglioni,

What a pleasure it was reading about you and getting to relate to your passion for your art. We are very similar in that acting was my life and all I did for years and years, as ballet and choreography was for you. You and I both were involved in our arts during a period of change. When I was acting in London women were starting to become more prominent and important on stage. Previously women were portrayed by men or eyed as sexual objects. But I was an example of the new kind of actresses who portrayed real parts and who valued for their genuine talent. And this makes us similar because you were one of the major people who started romantic ballet, therefor you and I were both involved in the evolution of our art. Also, the two of us had absolutely inspiring mentors. Mine, was my dear David, but yours happened to be your own parents. I truly admire that.

However, you and I do have some differences. For one I am British, and have lived in my home country which lives so close to my heart for my whole life. But you sir, are a true Italian. Not to mention you have travelled to the wondrous places like France, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Austria. Besides our back round being slightly different, our arts are quite different as well. While both of our arts are a form of expression, they differ. Acting is expression through words, but ballet is expression through your body language.

I truly wish I could have had the opportunity to have seen your work, because Im sure it would have been positively splendid. I admire your passion for your work, and I can hear the life that your art brings you in your writing. Needless to say, you are a fantastic artist, the fact that people call you the father of romantic ballet says it all. It's been such a pleasure speaking with you and I hope to hear from you soon.

  4. Mr.Taglioni,

I have enjoyed reading your blog and getting to know about your art. We have very few similarities but we do have some things in common. We are both great performers and our arts were influenced by the government.

We have many differences. Your family were dancers and were involved in the arts while my father was a chairman and my mother a vendor. You grew up in the arts but I had to discover the arts on my own. I didn't have the luxury of having my parents as my mentors, but like you, my mentors were very influential. Your hardship of taking care of your daughter is very different from my drinking problem.

You seem like a very talented dancer and I wish I could have seen one of your dances you choreographed. I am very impressed with your hard work and I hope to talk to you in the future.

  5. Mr. Tagiono! It is such a pleasure to finally meet your acquaintance. I am afraid we do not have all that much in common though. Other than the fact that we are both performers, we both love to travel, and we both create. You create dances and I create plays. We also have members of the family that participate in the art that we do as well.
Our differences include, you being Italian and I being British. Our art forms are also completely different. Like the lovely Mrs. Pritchard has mentioned, you express your art through your body and we express our art through words.

I am very excited to get to know you and your dances.

  6. Mr Tagiono, it is nice to read about you and your wonderful accomplishments. We are a little different. Some of our differences are just that we enjoy different things. You love dance while I love acting.
However, we are also quite similar. I am originally Italian, just like you. Also we both got into our art because of our family. Your parents were dancers and my parents were actors. I really enjoyed learning about you and I can't wait to learn more

    Sincerely, Anne Lange.

  7. Mr.Tagiono, I have heard so much about you. I admire you and your passion to dance but sadly you and do not have alot in common. I to have a daughter, actually 5 and a son but none of them have followed in my foot steps as yours did. I was raised in Massachusetts but you were in Italy. As our passion and professions may be different you take your dancing seriously as I take my piano seriously. It was nice to hear about you sir and hope to learn more soon.

    Sincerely, Mr. William Billings.

  8. Bonjour, M. Tagiono!

Je m'appelle Étienne-Nicholas Méhul. I am a French Composer. It was a pleasure reading your blog and discovering all the amazing things that you have achieved. Must I say sir...your work left me in awe.Are we artists not to blame for such beauty? Such Empowerment over people through our arts? You and I were both involved deeply in our arts during a time of change. I used this change to benifit my work though. It helped me create music that related to peoples feelings about society. As you are the father of the romantic ballet, i am the so called father of romantic music. I was the first composer to be labled "Romantic".

We have similarities, Oui, but we also have our differences. I am from Givet and you are from Italy. I am not a dancer, non. I am a musician. I create emotiion through the power of the language of music, while you create such fine emotion through dance. Although these to fine arts relate to eachother, they give people different artistic view and emotion.

It was a pleasure learning about you! Ciao!

    -Étienne-Nicholas Méhul

  9. Chears Mr.Tagiono,
I was very interested to read you interview and see your artifacts because I relized we have many more differences than similarities. For one I am from England and an actress and you are from Italy and a dancer and while your were from a family of dancers I had never thought about getting into the stage untill the age of seventeen. We may be very different but I do congratulate you on achievements you did seem to have a very sucsessful career.
